Oh my! I can't believe it's been soooo long since my last post! Justin and I have been very busy creating blog worthy memories that I haven't had time to blog about them! I can't believe how much Lucy is growing and changing right before our eyes. She smiles all the time now and looves to "talk". She babbles with real gusto as if she is really telling us a story. It makes Justin and I smile every time.
A quick update about what we've been up to and what you can expect blog posts about soon:
-We took our first family road trip to Detroit to catch a couple Tigers games! Lucy was carried all around Detroit and loved looking around at all the sights.
-Lucy went on her first trip to the zoo. She was awake for the first half and was able to soak in lots of the new sights, sounds, and smells. We took plenty of pictures of the second half of our zoo trip to show her later when she woke up :P
-Lucy has been to a couple of Reds games now. We think she is good luck with this great season they are having!
-Lucy had her 2 month check-up at the pediatrician's! She is very strong and TALL!
Until I can blog about all these events, I'll leave you with this picture. Lucy LOVES to suck on her hands (even more than the pacifier). She has only found her thumb twice. Here is a picture of her on her changing pad, sucking her thumb. As you can see, she also loves her burp cloths. Since Lucy still spits up a lot, there is always a burp cloth within reach. Lucy has really bonded with all of them.
After our last Reds game together, Justin and I got Lucy to bed and were getting ready for bed ourselves. Justin looked at me and said, "I'm just having the time of my life." I agree 100%. Lucy has brought more joy to us over the last 2 1/2 months than we could have ever imagined. Showing her the world has been the most rewarding experience of our lives.
