Justin was so sad to leave the hospital with Lucy. He said, "I know the second we leave here, she is going to start growing up so fast." That couldn't be more true. I can't help but flip through all the pictures we have of Lucy as a tiny newborn and smile at how tiny and new she was. I was at Target the other day, and as I was returning to my car, a lady in the parking lot said, "Enjoy every moment, because they grow up so fast." I thanked her and as I was putting Lucy in her car seat, I got a little teary eyed and thought to myself, "I know." I just can't believe how in 11 short weeks little Lucy has gone from a tiny newborn to a baby who holds her head up, smiles all the time, and babbles like she's really got something to tell you. She also rarely wants to be laying down in your arms. She rolls her shoulders forward trying to sit up. I can see her thinking, "come on, mom, only newborns lay down all the time." She loves to be upright and looking at all there is around her. :) Every stage Lucy goes through, I think, "It can't get better than this." But she proves me wrong every time.
