Mother's Day

I have to be honest, I started this post quite awhile ago. I had planned to list all the wonderful things about being a mom. However once I started the list, it never seemed long enough. How can I possibly list every big and little thing that is so great about being a parent? No matter how long I made the list, it was never enough. Being a mom to me is about so many different things that make me smile. I couldn't possibly capture them all here. Instead, I'll just tell you about our Mother's Day...

I was beyond excited about my first Mother's Day. I shopped for the perfect dresses for both of us to wear.

We started the day with a family lunch at an Italian restaurant (my favorite). Then we took Lucy to the lake for the first time. I was SO excited to show Lucy the lake. She loves to be outside, so I knew she would love looking at the lake and the waves. It was everything I had hoped for!!
