So big!

Oh my gosh, when did Lucy get so big! I must have blinked recently because just today I discovered the following all within the span of 15 minutes when it was time for Lucy's morning nap:

1. Lucy is no longer to be trusted alone in her bouncy seat. I usually have Lucy nap in her bouncy seat because, well, she has always loved her bouncy seat. However, I put her down in it to take a nap and suddenly she can roll her shoulders forward and turn to the side and wha-la, practically sits up in the seat. My heart skipped a beat and just like that, Lucy is no longer to be trusted in the bouncy seat without a very watchful eye. So on to the next solution...

2. Lucy is too big for her mobile/current crib setting. After the bouncy seat idea was nixed, I moved on to the crib. I'm thinking she is big enough to start napping in her crib (she would never nap for very long in there before). I read her a quick story, put her in the crib, and turned on her mobile. Apparently she wasn't as sleepy as she usually is when we put her to bed at night because this time she reached up and was playing with her mobile. Again, my heart skipped a beat as I imagined either watching her fall asleep at night with the mobile on or getting rid of the mobile all together (panic), but then it dawned on me to lower the mattress in the crib so she can't reach the mobile. (Seriously, we are already lowering the mattress! Wasn't she just born 4 1/2 months ago?)

3. Lucy can now roll to her side, PICK UP her pacifier, and PUT it in her mouth! WHAT?! As I was watching Lucy on her video monitor, I watched as she knocked the pacifier out of her mouth. As I started to get up to go in her room and put it back in her mouth, I watched as she rolled to her side, reached around for the pacifier, and suddenly it was back in her mouth. Granted, it apparently wasn't in right because it fell out two seconds later, but omg, I literally watched my child grow up on the video monitor.

Holy cow. Wasn't this child still in my belly a mere 4 1/2 months ago?!
