We were afraid to leave the hospital...not because we didn't think we could take care of Lucy on our own, but because we knew as soon as we left, she would start growing up. And that is exactly what happened. So far we have noticed her newborn diapers don't fit quite as well, and her feet and legs are already filling out her newborn pajamas. So in turn we have been doing our best to cherish every moment of her little newborn-ness.
I can't believe Lucy has already been home for a week now. We have been busy with many firsts already! I'll try to keep the posts coming with highlights from this past week.
To start off with, my family had a little "St. Patrick's Day Welcome Home" gathering for little Lucy.
Lucy got to meet her Great-Grandma :)
Unfortunaltey, Lucy partied a little too hard and was only able to enjoy her St. Patty's Day outfit for about 45 minutes. (Thanks Emily, she looked adorable for those 45 mintues!)
Highlights to come:
-First Bath
-First Trip to Pediatrician
-First Walk
-And more :)
Lucy looked adorable (even if it was for a short amount of time)! I can't believe it worked out that she came home on exactly St. Patrick's Day! All of us up here at the office are laughing hysterically at Lainie with the headband on and her leg draped over your Dad's!
