The Nursery

I'd thought I would share the transformation of our spare bedroom into the nursery!

I'll start from the beginning. Here is the spare bedroom when we first finished it after moving to the house...

After removing the bed and other furniture, it became a storage site for all things baby-related (and maybe a few other things).

So, we had to clear all that out and move it to the office...

Here is J working hard at preparing the room for painting...

Here I am working hard at playing with the cats...

Then I was shut out of the room while J diligently painted the room, keeping me and LMD safe from harm and paint fumes...

And, then Ta-Da! The beautiful lavender paint color was revealed. We were in love :)

Here I am playing with the cats again in the new room...

We moved all the baby loot back in the room...

And then after many, many hours of organizing, washing clothes, hanging pictures, etc. the room was ready for Little Miss Doodle!! We hope she likes it as much as we do!...

(You may notice the empty picture frames on the wall...we're waiting for pictures of her and her feet and hand prints. We also plan to hang her name on the wall, but we obviously can't reveal that yet!)

The little details might be my favorite part...
