Adorable Arie

I know what your thinking...ANOTHER post about my cats? Yes, this is post number 2 in 2 days about my adorable kitties. I'm worried with all the talk about the baby that they are already feeling neglected, so talking about them on my blog is my solution.

Last night I attempted to get my Christmas cards organized and ready to send out. Arie was there ready to help in any way he could. I first got Arie before my senior year in college, so for the first year of his life, I mostly sat at this very desk studying away. He quickly learned that sitting RIGHT next to the computer was the best way to ensure lots of attention. Studying was definitely a little more enjoyable (well a notch above dreadful) with a fluffy cat at hand to pet. I got used to typing on the computer around him, and he even got used to me typing on the keys that laid under his fur. Still, anytime I sit at the desk, Arie falls right back into step and sits there with me, even 3 years after graduating. He doesn't even flinch anymore when I tug on his fur to type.

Now you may be asking, why didn't you just move him? What?! MOVE a cat? You mean you don't sleep in awkward shapes just to make sure you don't have to move the cat in the middle of the night? There is just this feeling you get when a cat wants to lay next to you that makes you not want to move them...or maybe it's just me, but I never move a cat who wants to sit with me.

In case you are wondering...no, I didn't finish my Christmas cards. First, I got frustrated trying to make address labels with a cute Christmas image on them. Then almost immediately after becoming frustrated, I got hungry, and that's when all Christmas card activity stopped. Oh well, there's always tonight!

Above is a picture of Arie "helping" me study in college.

In case you came to the blog looking for an update on Little Miss Doodle: She is moving a LOT! In my head I picture her to have really good muscle tone with all the moving around she does. I LOVE to feel her moving around. It makes me feel like I am never truly alone. She's always there with me. However, if she could please stop pushing on the back of my belly button - that totally weirds me out - and stop tickling my sides, I wouldn't be opposed. Other than that, wiggle away baby!
